Qualifications

• AA Degree in Early Childhood Education
• BS Degree with PA Certification in PK-4 Instructional I Preferred
• Bilingual Language abilities, English/Spanish, a plus

Responsibilities/Duties
To plan and implement educational activities to includes managing the classroom and planning activities according to the curriculum that are developmentally appropriate. Evaluate and record children’s progress and communicate with parents on a regular basis. Provide and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices.

**$1,000 Sign-On Bonus**

At a Head Start Center located within the Greater Wilkes-Barre area
Full Time, 10 months (school year Aug-June annually); 40 hrs/wk

Pay Rates, Effective June 2023
AA: $21.84
BS: $25.99/hr (No PA Cert); $27/.14 (PA Cert Level I ECE) to $28.50/hr (PA Cert Instructional II ECE)
*Pre-K Counts Classrooms require a BS degree in ECE with Instructional I certification as the minimum educational qualification
Additional pay for Advanced Degree
Bilingual Abilities Preferred (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
