$85,000 - $95,000 based on experience
Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline; or similar project management certification; three (3) years of managing IT/technical projects or technical operations (in a state or local government environment preferred).
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required.
Job Duties (Summary)
  • Lead the project management activities for a large-scale, enterprise software migration from an on-prem solution to a hosted cloud solution, including database migration, data conversion, system configuration, and end-user training.
  • Over the course of managing the enterprise software migration, you will be expected to become the organization’s subject matter expert on the new platform’s operation and use.
  • Future project management will include additional cloud migrations, software upgrades, and numerous smaller software deployments or enhancements.
  • Coordinate timelines and milestones with key stakeholders, vendors, users, and leadership.
  • Producing well-defined delivery plans that outline key project activities, their sequence, and delivery timelines and ensuring documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Managing and daily tracking of project tasks and activities to ensure performance and delivery against plan including identifying and managing critical dependencies and coordinating with key stakeholders to address issues as applicable and required in order to ensure the delivery of project objectives and deliverables.
  • Ensuring Project reporting and updates are up to date and communicated at the appropriate level to stakeholders for purposes of communication, prioritization, and issue escalation.
  • Leading regular working group sessions with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and track actions effectively to support the plan.
  • Collaborating, identifying and tracking all dependencies and risks (technical and non-technical) and exploring mitigation strategies aligned to delivery plan.
  • Ensuring testing approach is agreed and resources secured from across the organization as well as managing the process and resolution of blockers, issues, risks, dependencies and bottlenecks.
  • Ensuring necessary infrastructure and environments are sourced, setup and made available to support various iterations of testing.
  • Overseeing “Go-Live” preparations, including creating activity checklists, and managing post implementation activities collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage or oversee multiple, potentially concurrent projects of different scales.

Knowledge of:
Management; Office practices and procedures; Government structure and process; information technology; programming techniques; computer hardware/software applications; systems analysis; systems design; project management; Solid technical background with understanding of Active Directory, Database Systems, Networking, support of Windows-based workstations, Mobile devices, and Web technologies.
Ability to:
Demonstrate proficiency working with solutions such as Office 365, including MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange; Manage projects in a hybrid environment which include on-prem Active Directory and cloud-based Azure Active Directory; Demonstrate proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet or similar online PM tools; Lead cross-functional project teams; Translate business needs into technical projects and articulate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills in:
Proven hands-on experience with executing enterprise-scale technology projects, applications, infrastructure, or devices; Excellent organizational, oral/written communication, and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail; Strong and proven problem-solving skills; Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; Strong documentation and presentation skills to create and present requirements, plans, and supporting documentation.
