The TempForce ED/Float Pool Nurse Wilson County is a 13-week assignment at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. In this role you will be responsible for applying the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The ED/Float Pool Nurse effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.

Department Summary:

The Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital is a busy and growing 15 bed hospital with a 4 bed Fast Track. The hospital utilizes the Epic EMR for documentation of visits. Shifts are 12 hours with every other weekend required as well as holiday rotation.

Shifts:

  • Mid-Shift: Day and Night
  • 6 weekend shifts per schedule
  • No On-Call

The two-campus facility is the sole provider of inpatient and outpatient medical services in Wilson County. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
  • Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
  • Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1-year relevant experience.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

  • Registered Nurse Required
  • Emergency Room Experience Required
