Job Description Summary
The Los Angeles Times is looking for part-time, temporary employees to assist with the preparation of journalism contest entries.
Job Description
These employees will work with the awards coordinator to re-create published Times articles, photos and graphics as individual PDFs per the contests’ rules. The work can be done remotely. This temporary role runs from late October until mid-March, with hours ranging from five to 20 hours a week. The workload varies depending on contest deadlines, most of which fall in January and February. Applicants at minimum should be in college or a recent graduate.

Strong working knowledge of InDesign is essential, and experience designing for print is preferred. Applicants should be self-starters who work well with a structured workflow and template. Advanced communications skills and the proven ability to meet recurring deadlines are required.
