Entry level test technician for development engine test operations in Evendale, OH.Job Description
Role Summary:
Provides technical assistance in all aspects of the setup, de-prep and testing of development engines.
Essential Responsibilities:
In addition you will:
- Interface with external organizations & internal supporting functions; coordinates the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals
- Act as a project leader on specific tasks within the Development Engine Test
- Facilitate interaction of staff members with each other and external organizations
- Assist the cell owner, team leader, or manager in planning work activity for the organization
- Participate in Cell / Lab Safety Deep Dives & PQA Audits
- Responsible for tasks related to overall safety & operational readiness of the test cells
- Maintaining area Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and other operating / safety practices and procedures
- Support and perform work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
- Work under limited supervision while being proficient in troubleshooting, testing, assembly, disassembly and performing visual inspections
- Execute test on the control console (throttle, slave systems, FTS, A-log)
- Perform signal checks / test preparation checks
- Participate in Process Improvement projects
- Perform inspections on engine and test equipment
- Obtain and maintain a security clearance
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in an applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution {i.e. Aviation Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.} (Or a high school diploma / GED with two years of work experience in a manufacturing or testing environment)

- Experience working in a jet engine testing environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Ability to operate electronic test equipment
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
