Position
Probst Electric is now hiring for a Tool Coordinator in the Rupert, ID shop. This position will work with fleet services managers and shop staff to coordinate the needed tools for upcoming jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and order/locate tools for upcoming jobs
- Maintain, repair, test, and clean tools and equipment
- Keep shop area organized, clean and functional
- Schedule repairs with outside vendors for warranty and outsource work
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Prepare and ship tools in a variety of ways (UPS, freight truck, etc.)
- Track and schedule calibration and testing of tools and equipment as needed
- Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner
- Load trucks with equipment and tools to be transported to job sites
- Build wood shelving in tool trailers and storage containers
- Help shop mechanics with tasks when needed
Requirements
- Class A CDL or be willing to acquire one
- Forklift Operation experience
- Ability to move/lift at least 50-70 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Frequently required to kneel, climb, walk and stand for long periods of time
- May have to work outside in adverse weather conditions
- Basic computer skills to document and record data
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of simple hydraulic systems and how to repair them, is not required but helpful
- Experience with small engine repair, not required but helpful
