The Opportunity
We are looking for a candidate with experience in a progressively responsible IT Security team lead / manager role. The Cybersecurity Manager performs highly advanced technical and managerial cybersecurity analysis work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning. Work involves participating in and directing cybersecurity programs and environments; the prevention, detection and remediation of cybersecurity threats and intrusions; cybersecurity policies and monitoring protocols; and leading the development of a security plan, with an emphasis on technical infrastructure and long-term risk mitigation.
A successful candidate must be honest and ethical in all actions; recognize the requirements of confidentiality; and be intellectually curious about investment financial data and analysis. The Cybersecurity Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities include the following:
- Oversee and perform cybersecurity operations including detection and response activities, vulnerability scans, awareness training, implementation of technology and tools, and dissemination of security policies and practices.
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts from cybersecurity tools, network devices, and information systems.
- Oversee and collaborate with managed security services to protect critical infrastructure services; track vendor performance through established KPIs and SLAs.
- Define, develop, and maintain overall security governance, controls, measures, policies and procedures across the organization, in adherence with regulatory and compliance standards such as NIST SP 800-53.
- Supervises the day-to-day responsibilities of the Cybersecurity team.
- Researches, attends conferences and vendor learning events, and trains to continually improve expert level skill and knowledge of tools, trends, technologies, strategies, and methodologies in security related domains.
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications for the Cybersecurity Manager:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in security operations work in an enterprise environment is required.
- Possess a valid Information Security Certification (one must be Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)).
- Experience in cybersecurity analysis work, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, intrusion detection, firewall deployment, and security event analysis.
- Experience in leading teams as a manager or individual contributor/lead capacity.
- Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700x and the ITIL, COBIT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks.
- Experience with security tools like: Microsoft 365 security tools, CASB, EDR, SIEM, intrusion prevention systems.
- Understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
