The Peregrine Transportation Company – is looking for Experienced CDL A Truck Drivers for an over the road position. At least 2 years minimum of flat bedding experience.

As one of our OTR drivers, you will be operating a Flatbed trailer with no slip-seating. We offer per diem for every night you are out, and you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of freight. Depending on your location you could take the truck home.

You will be loaded (and unloaded) by a forklift or crane. Your job is to follow all DOT regulations for securement of product. You will ensure that the load is safely secured on the trailer and protected from damage by using necessary equipment such as straps/chains/edge protectors, padding, etc.

Main Job Functions (but not limited to):

• Pick up/Deliver product to customer safely and on time.
• Ensure product is loaded and positioned on trailer correctly.
• Ensure weights are distributed evenly across axles and does not exceed maximum gross weight.
• Use all appropriate equipment to ensure load securement and protection.
• Keep truck maintained and clean.
• Follow and abide by all traffic laws.

Driver Qualifications:

• Must Have Class A CDL
• Live within the general area of Jackson, Columbus, Hattiesburg, MS areas.
• Clean Driving Record
• Experience preferred but willing to train the right person
• Must be 21 years old
• Strap/Chain/etc freight down
