Rural Retreat Care Center is a 120 bed skilled nursing facility that offers both short-term and long-term care. Unit Concierge

Shift: 10am to 10pm

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Please note that this is meant to be a stepping stone into a potential CNA position within the building.

Rural Retreat Care Center is looking for friendly and compassionate Unit Concierges to assist with the following:

• Communicate with residents and check in on the residents that reside down the hall you have been assigned. It is preferred that this occurs once per hour.
• Pass ice/water to residents as appropriate (residents ordered fluid restrictions and/or thickened fluids should not be included but still offered something that they may have safely)
• Pass 10 am and 8pm resident hydration and snacks
• 10am rounds should also include the Rounds Check Sheet, found at the nurses station.
• Remove excess linens from resident rooms
• Check closets, cabinets, drawers, etc. to ensure things are organized, uncluttered, and free of trash
• Empty trash and replace bag in the can
• Assist with passing out/removal of meal trays
• Answer resident call lights and assist with needs as appropriate
• Clean/Tidy resident overbed tables and nightstands
• Make beds and ensure that resident bed linen is clean.
• East Concierges should deliver trays/ice/supplies to hot unit when there is a hot unit in place. Leave outside and DO NOT ENTER THE HOT UNIT
• Clean/Sanitize walkers, wheelchairs, and canes
• Stock gloves in resident rooms
• Organize, straighten, and communicate needs for stocking the Clean Utility rooms
• Assure there are no items on top of the sharp boxes in resident rooms
• Clean and sanitize lifts, and vital trees
• Stock precaution caddies and ensure that there are two large bins in room, as needed.
• Sanitize door handles and handrails (in patient room and hallways)

Requirements

• Must be 17 years or older
• Must have a state ID or Drivers license
• Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Interested/Willing to take a CNA course

Preferred

• CNA experience
• Long term care experience

All individuals who enter the building are required to utilize the appropriate mask, provided in the lobby. Additionally all staff are to test weekly/bi-weekly as needed and encouraged to vaccinate against COVID-19.
