Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United’s global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United’s customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

Key Responsibilities:
The UAX Network Manager is the key point person in the NOC for the entire United Express operation while on duty. UAX operations represent a large share of the entire UA daily departure count and the manager is the point operational point person for that activity. The UAX Manager is the key liaison to our flying partners across the network and leads all aspects of flight activity, delays, cancellations, event planning and day-of execution of the planned activity.

Lead all aspects of and maintain oversight of the UAX daily operation
Supervise disruptions across the network for resolution and/or coordination with the station and flying partner
Plans ahead for IRROPS of all kinds, finds opportunities to ensure the best operational solutions are established
Provide tactical guidance during IRROPS event
Holds regular calls with the flying partners and other NOC/Field leaders to communicate and update operational plans, disruptions and recovery efforts
Works both internally and with the partners on developing processes and communication protocols to improve communications and visibility with our partners

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
3 years airline operations experience
Strong knowledge of airport operations, ATC, weather, hub and line station operations
Strong understanding of Express flying agreements
Critical thinking, ability to quickly evaluate operational situations and provide guidance
Strong communication and negotiations skills
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products
Are you willing and able to travel domestic 5% of the time
Must be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24/hour 7/day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
FAA Dispatch License or other airman certificate
Minimum 5 year airline operations experience
Strong familiarity with NOC tools, Unimatic, Routing, RFP, IOM/Volare
Familiar with the UAX airline
