Qualifications and Duties
Salary per Negotiated Agreement
- Develop a well-rounded and educational environment while using the sport of basketball as a teaching tool for student-athletes
- Lead, develop, and oversee all levels of Boys Basketball at Orange High School
- Empower student-athletes to be the best versions of themselves - Oversee the entire Orange High School Boys Basketball staff, and also directly works with and coordinate Boys Basketball activities with the Brady Middle School coaching staff, and OCER staff
- Actively supports collaboration with OCER, middle school, and high school in an effort to grow successful high school programming
- Be the Boys Basketball figure-head for the entire community and work to connect all levels of basketball within the community - Plan conditioning sessions, workouts, practices to contribute towards the growth of the program
- Conduct a summer and fall off season program
- Support all OHS Athletic Programs and encourage athletes to participate in additional sports.
- Schedule all non-conference games
- Plan all transportation for Boys Basketball related activities with the help of the Athletic Department
- Set program standards and policies that pertain directly with the growth and development of the individual and the team
- Work with the Athletic Department to order necessary supplies and equipment while staying in line with budgetary restrictions.
- Have excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, parents, and administration
- Successful BCI & FBI background checks
- Must hold a valid Ohio Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit, CPR/First Aid Certification, Concussion Training, Ohio Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training and Fundamentals of Coaching Certification
- Abides by the rules and regulations of the OHSAA and the Chagrin Valley Conference
