Amazon is looking for an analytical, customer-obsessed candidate to help build a world-class shopping experience for the Baby Care and Household categories. The successful candidate will be ambitious, an effective communicator, and a problem-solver. In this role, you will be driving the business results of your vendors and have a direct responsibility to manage performance of a product portfolio.
Day-to-day tasks include developing and growing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, determining promotional strategy, developing marketing programs, inventory management, product launches, and conducting detailed analyses to identify growth opportunities driving sales and margin improvements. You will also create best-in-class customer experiences, and play a critical role in managing brands to drive profitability and topline performance for your category.

Key job responsibilities
- Owns the Retail P&L for multiple categories.
- Solid grasp of business inputs and outputs, with the ability to navigate effectively to develop tradeoffs amongst the various business levers (e.g., Selection, Brands, Topline, Margin, Operations, In-stock and so on).
- Negotiations - Drives strategic negotiations to deliver top- and bottom-line category growth
- Strategic thinker who can build and communicate a business vision that inspires and can effectively operationalize the building blocks to attain the vision.
- Ability to develop and implement action plans based on deep-dive analysis of product line metrics.
- Strong advocate of the customer; relentless in building a Customer Experience that increases Customer retention, growth and conversion.
- Focus on building long-term vendor relationships by creating value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors
- Strong aptitude to dive deep data (to learn and to audit) and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for multiple categories.
- Strong Owner across all business metrics; For instance, is able to identify areas that need vendor attention and directs team to address issues; acts as an escalation point, helping team and vendor(s) resolve conflicts

- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, tech, or brand management at a consumer-packaged goods company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
