Healing Paws Animal Hospital offers contemporary veterinary services including laser therapy and dental x-rays along with surgery, grooming, diagnostic lab testing, and a wide offering of pharmaceuticals. We have a wonderful team-oriented staff with decades of cumulative veterinary experience.

Please note this position requires at least one year of experience in a veterinary setting. Candidates must feel comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes.

Job Description

• This is a hybrid position with the candidate working as both a veterinary assistant and periodically as a receptionist
• Provide the highest-degree of client service in person, on the phone, and via email
• Assist veterinarians with providing patient care including examination appointments, lab diagnostics, X-rays, and surgeries
• Assist clients with scheduling appointments, checking in/out clients for their appointments, and assisting with grooming admissions
• Data entry and maintenance in our practice management software
• Consistently monitoring clinic emails for patient records, online pharmacy refill requests, and responding to client email inquiries
• Basic cleaning & office maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Applicant Experience:

• +2 years work experience in a veterinary setting preferred
• Veterinary Assistant experience a strong plus
• Cornerstone practice management system experience a strong plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
