Companion Animal Hospital in Solon, Ohio is a privately owned two-doctor small animal veterinary hospital looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Technician for a full or part time position. Licensed/Registered Technicians are preferred, but not required. However, at least one year of experience working with small animals (dogs and cats) is required.
Skills required:
Assist veterinarians with exams, vaccinations, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and animal restraint.
Administer anesthetics or sedatives under the direction of a veterinarian.
Surgical prep and recovery, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.
Prepare and read in-house fecal tests and urinalyses.
Perform a variety of radiographs on our CR digital system.
Obtaining and maintaining patient medical information.
Build and maintain client relationships.
