Link Solutions is seeking a VMware System Administrator (Entry-level) to join our growing team in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent knowledge of VMware, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills. You must be comfortable working with a variety of hardware and software, as well as in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As the VMware System Administrator, you will provide technical support and system administration support for the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Center.

The VMware Administrator will work across many teams and high-level managers in the organization to design, lead, manage, maintain, track assets, deploy, implement, troubleshoot, and support the workforce environment. You will provide on-site support as necessary to ensure all network capabilities are available.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain VMware systems, ensuring that they are running at optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues relating to VMware systems.
• Work with hardware and software vendors to ensure that their systems are integrated and optimized within the VMware environment.
• Develop and document procedures for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of system security policies and best practices.
• Prepare detailed reports on system performance and utilization.

• US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government/DoD Secret Clearance.
• 1+ year of experience working with VMware systems.
• IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE) equivalent or higher.
• Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV), Cisco (CCNP-DC), or similar technology within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

• Experience with VMware-based virtualization infrastructures covering vCenter ESXi environments version 6.0 and later.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting system performance within the VMware environment.
• Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to hosted tenants.
• Experience Installing, configuring, and integrating servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Experience performing backups, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shift/Hours Information:

• All schedules are 4x 10-hour days, either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday.
• Mid-Shift Hours: 2200-0830hr (10:00 PM – 8:30 AM)
