Job role:: Systems Administrator
6 Months Contract
Location: Onsite (Louisville, KY or New Albany, IN or Jeffersonville, IN)
The ITSS-Systems Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 responds to user complaints and researches problems associated with the organization's telecommunications networks (voice and/or data). The Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.
The Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 diagnoses problem source through discussions with users; co-ordinates with internal support and operations groups or with vendors to resolve problems. Requires an understanding of technical aspects of telecommunications equipment and systems and vendor capabilities. Also responsible for processing move/add/change requests pertaining to telephone systems. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
Required Qualifications»
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Less than 3 years of telecommunications technical experience
- Knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of telecom equipment and systems and vendor capabilities
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Skill set»
- L2 issues – 1-2 years with telephony systems
- 1-2 years of experience with Telecommunications
- Understand language and comm with engineering team
- Engage with them; they leverage the Telecom team to take care of migrations and support
- Currently use Cisco Jabber and need to migrate to Zoom Phone (nice to have)
Day to day»
- Need to monitor SN que
- Incidents, break-fix items, and new requests for phone lines
- Make sure they are hitting SLA’s – Steve monitors this
- Working in Zoom Admin console
- Typical MS Suite (all collaboration stuff)
- Inventory management of physical phones
Possibly shipping/receiving of those phones
- May need to travel to buildings to see what’s going on – all downtown within walking distance
- Look at the incidents to look for trends as a team
- Assisting with documentation – steps end-users would take to solve a common problem or how the team supports certain incidents and resolves them. Don’t need full technical knowledge
Preferred Qualifications»
- Previous experience as a Telecom/Voice administrator
- Experience with Cisco Jabber or Zoom Phone Additional Information

Salary: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
