Job Description

Analytics is a highly utilized team which includes Customer Success, Business Intelligence, Statistics and Data Science capabilities. We leverage structured data from over two billion annual prescription transactions from almost two hundred million patients and unstructured data from our call centers, claims and customers. The VP, Analytics is an experienced healthcare technology executive who has demonstrated significant impact and strong leadership in developing vision, strategy and roadmap of advanced data analytics, Data as Service, data products, dashboards, big data, data science and predictive analytics. The VP, Analytics will manage a centralized analytics team with a mission to demonstrate ConnectiveRx’s leadership in utilization of data, analytics and data science to deliver highly differentiated and insight driven products and services to our clients and develop strategic plans to support profit and growth. He/She will develop and grow a high-performance team which supports client-facing and internal analytics needs via three distinct capabilities:
  • Customer Success capability, which delivers consultative services to enable optimized outcomes with our products through copay offer design and adherence message triggering strategy.
  • Enhanced Reporting capability complements our company standard reporting platforms by adding tailored analyses and insights.
  • Statistics and Data Science capability which develops large scale, highly reliable data applications and analyses that leverage machine learning and predictive analytics to enable our products to deliver more optimal outcomes without human intervention, e.g., pharmacy claims monitoring. Perform program measurement through test and control studies and descriptive statistics.
The VP, Analytics will position ConnectiveRx as an organization that always delivers on, data driven insights to optimize patient affordability programs, to provide effective and seamless patient engagement services, to enable a personalized and streamlined provider experience and to develop innovative solutions that address evolving industry dynamics.

While the VP, Analytics provides the foundation for analytics across the organization, it will be important that the VP work very closely with Technology and Operations leadership to develop an enterprise strategy for capturing, analyzing and leveraging data across the organization to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies. The role then carries through to ensure that planning and execution meets or exceeds internal and external customer demand and expectations.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished, strategic leader that can roll up their sleeves and who can also develop and execute an enterprise strategy for leveraging analytics to provide a long-term competitive advantage for ConnectiveRx. He/she will have substantial leadership experience in a pharma services organization, digital agency, professional services organization or biopharma manufacturer. The successful candidate will have led or substantially participated in developing and implementing organizational strategy for analytics.

Essential Functions
  • Develop, grow and manage a high-performance analytics team that supports client and internal analytics needs.
  • Provide leadership in the development of an analytics driven culture.
  • Collaborate directly with internal business partners such as program management, operations and business development to identify opportunities for new products and services, data driven optimization of services and application of data science.
  • Develop and grow a strong data science capability.
  • Build an industry leading customer success capability that positions the organization as a leader in the business segments served.
  • Provide input and advice on policies and standards to guide data definition, data quality, data usage and data deidentification.
  • Define and grow the direct and indirect revenue for Analytics.
Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of existing data sources as well as their strengths and limitations that exist in the healthcare industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical, analytical, and presentation of quantitative information including data science.
Skills
  • Leader and visionary with the ability to translate and explain complex models and healthcare analytics to senior management, business leaders and clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong understanding of the mechanics of data structures, business intelligence, advanced data science techniques and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Advanced understanding of patient support, pharmacy, buy & bill affordability, and EMR messaging markets and customers including brand managers, patient support and field sales at top pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of professional services staffing, pricing, and resource management models.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with data sources, data analysis & legal requirements for their use which exist in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication skills able to translate and distill complex analytics and service models to senior management, business leaders and clients as well as translate ambiguous business needs into specific, deliverable analytics projects.
Education
Masters Degree or higher in: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field

Experience
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in providing leadership and managing an analytics team with at least 10+ years in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry analytics.
  • Consulting and professional services management experience.
  • Experience with data sources, data analysis & legal requirements for their use which exist in the healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Proven experience improving the efficiency of an analytics function and its effect on organizational performance.

Travel or Physical Requirements
The VP is expected to work from one of our offices in Whippany, NJ, King of Prussia, PA, or Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, the VP, Analytics is expected to be available for client meetings (internal and external) as well as having a presence in the industry by attending meetings and conferences.
