As a Barclays Vice President -Financial Analysis- Airline Partner, you will be part of an exciting team that is responsible for providing financial analysis and insight to the Management team of Barclays Airlines Segment Credit Card business. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of CFO Business Partnering with the U.S. Consumer Bank and will play an integral role is driving insight into the performance and emergent issues to some of Barclays US’s largest Airline programs.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
- Understanding financial results and P&L drivers, metrics, and trends to build accurate partner/segment forecasts
- Handling partner performance by comparing actuals vs. forecast to identify opportunities and risks for the business
- Building scenarios and sensitivities around new products and initiatives; and handling renewals/renegotiations, value proposition optimization, and new partnerships
- Producing Quarterly Forecasts and ongoing Outlooks to guide the business understanding expected performance and drivers
- Preparing Management Information Packages to effectively communicate results, opportunities and risks to Senior Management and Partner
- Building and maintaining effective communication channels within the different segments and support teams to increase participation and integration of all analysis
- Being a proactive, dedicated self-starter who has the courage to ask questions and challenge the status quo
- Searching for continuous improvement including process design, data management and reporting
What we’re looking for:
- At least five years of experience in the Credit Card or Financial Industry
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance or Quantitative or a related field
- Technical and statistical skills with proven ability to process data into meaningful information
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to conduct analysis and synthesize it into impactful presentations for senior management are critical
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Master’s degree/MBA preferred
- Leadership, interpersonal, multi-tasking, teamwork, and communication skills are critical
- Essbase, Hyperion Planning, SAS, SQL experience is a plus
- Results oriented with the ability to bring closure to issues through working well with teams throughout the organization
