Edwards Lifesciences has an opening for a Vice President, Plant General Manager at our Draper, UT location. This role will provide leadership and oversight on all areas within the plant and will be a key leader within our Global Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide plant leadership and direct plant management team with integration of multiple disciplines and departments. Responsible for managing plant P&L, developing manufacturing facility policies, and authorizing their implementation while ensuring product quality and safety
- Develop robust strategic talent development and succession planning in alignment with functional growth strategies across the plant. Responsible for developing a high performing team across the plant
- Oversee multiple strategic, plant-level projects with highest criticality including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects
- Drive innovation, process optimization, and the implementation of continuous improvement programs within the plant
- Oversee the development of plans that support commercial and new product development/launches plans
- Oversee the execution of strategic and corporate initiatives for cross-functional teams (e.g. IT, Facilities, BEx) in collaboration with GSC and Business Units
- Collaborate with network leadership to execute GSC and network strategy, lead site implementation and monitor related corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Responsible for representing the company with external parties (e.g., local state government, community, other manufacturing peer organizations, regulatory/governmental agencies )
- Drive a value stream mindset and culture of continuous improvement based on lean and Six Sigma principles and EW Production System (EPS)
- Bachelor's Degree in related field and related experience in manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated track record in people management
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in related field and 14 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 16 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Proven successful project management leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience, including all levels of employees, corporate and business unit counterparts, and external contacts (e.g., government bodies, industry trade associations, business partners)
- Expert understanding of manufacturing and operations procedures with extensive and detailed knowledge of company allowing for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas
- Expert understanding of related aspects of manufacturing and operations processes and/or systems
- Expert knowledge of key regulations and standards (e.g., QSR, MDD, ISO)
- Expert knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to manufacturing and operations
- Demonstrated ability to direct teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
- Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of manufacturing and operations to the business
- Serves as core partner to senior leaders in Business Units, Functional Groups, and Regions
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
- Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
- Ability to interact internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters; influences policymaking
- Proven track record in developing relationships and leveraging them to influence change
