Job Title: Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor

Work Location: 137 228 Shaw Road South San Francisco CA 94080 United States

Contract: 6+ months with possible extension

Work Schedule: Mon – Fri ( 8:00am to 4:30pm)

Over time:

"Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure shipments dates meet customer’s required dates and vendor guide requirements.

· Ability to use ERP system (SAP) to help with daily operations and tracking of all Warehouse/Logistics operations.

· Facilitate and support upcoming integration from SAP to JDE systems.

· Coordinate inventory transfer from multiple warehouses to support production/packaging at both facilities

· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

· Prepare and conduct inventory cycle counts and report findings.

· Validate received merchandise to description and package details from original P.O.

· Hire, train, and evaluate employees to work productively with a high sense of professionalism, urgency, and orientation towards positive customer service.

· Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.

· Monitor employee attendance, productivity, providing counselling to employees as needed.

· Develop Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the performance of the Warehouse/Logistics functions.

· Direct work for all materials management functions with regard to materials control and logistics.

· Negotiate contracts with trucking companies to obtain the best rates and service.

· Negotiate contracts with 3PL’s to obtain the best rates and service.

· Manage expenses and operating ratios to perform at or better than prior year and budget levels, as well as monitor product inventory, reconcile all physical inventory adjustments.

· Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with customers and ensures that all personnel do the same. Supervises all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion.

· Ensure that all materials are packaged properly and arrive by the date specified on the shipping order.

· Manage finished goods: (1) ensuring placement into proper rack positions with Pallet Item Sheets, and (2) FIFO is used when shipping, except samples requiring freshest product.

· Manage all inventory activities, maintain and control inventory of raw ingredients, packaging materials, Finished Goods and Intermediate Goods (WIP).

· Maintain daily receiving/shipping records with carrier.

· Manages logistics claims, creates, sends, holds vendors accountable for timely processing.

· Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

· Work closely with Finance/Accounting on the review/approval of invoices.

· Coordinate transportation to and from Co-packers and off-site warehouse facilities.

· Coordinate the flow of pallets packed into finished goods.

· Verify pallet tags are recorded accurately on Daily Packing Logs.

· Oversees racking, bar coding, forklifts, and all other warehouse equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Troubleshoots as required

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or minimum ten (10) years of experience in warehouse/logistics/supply chain functions in a manufacturing environment; food & beverage distribution, a plus.

· Five (5-10) years supervisory experience.

· Thorough understanding of receiving, inventory and material handling procedures

· Strong analytical/problem solving/process improvement skills;

· Demonstrated planning ability;

· Working knowledge of warehousing and inventory control process

· Familiarity with EDI a plus

· Knowledge of OSHA, FDA requirements/regulations

· Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

· Continuous improvement mindset

· Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines;

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
