Warehouse Associate

Copper Mountain Hardware, Romulus, Michigan has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Associate. This individual will will perform warehousing functions to maintain inventory levels, inventory flow and set up, income and outgo of product, product inspection and other warehouse functions. They will also be in charge of the safety and cleanliness of the products and warehouse space. They will set and revisit reorder points and on-hand inventory levels. They will work closely with the Manager of Product Development, Product Picking and Packaging people. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
• Checks and places materials in the correct bins/shelves
• Updates Fishbowl Inventory Management Systems
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
• Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
• Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders as needed
• Assists to maintain inventory levels
• Maintains the cleanliness and order of the warehouse space
• Maintain a safe work environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to learn materials inventoried
• Ability to learn packing techniques
• Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read and understand customer orders

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

High School Graduate or GED or Associates Degree or Higher

EXPERIENCE:

1 year of work history in a warehouse space

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs)
