Job Overview: Receive, move, protect, stage, store and ship products to support customer requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize and process outgoing customer orders to meet delivery schedules.
- Locate, pick, package, label and ship product. Advise appropriate personnel of any discrepancies.
- Record / transact quantities issued against customer orders utilizing the defined process.
- Operate a pallet jack or hand truck to transport product between departments or to designated areas. Prior forklift experience a plus.
- Coordinate and arrange shipments with customer designated carriers.
- Create manual and computer-generated shipping manifests, bill of ladings and other documents for domestic and international shipments. Prior LTL and small package carrier software systems preferred.
- Package; shrink wrap and strap product to pallets for shipment. Load / unload trucks.
- Receiving; check in material, transact receipts in ERP system, match purchase orders to designated sales orders, put away materials to their designated areas.
- Ensure product in the stockroom is properly identified, readily accessible and secured in its' assigned location.
- Assisting in counting of physical inventory and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe working environment.
- Any other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must possess basic math and computer skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Two years or more material handling experience.
- Be able to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move heavier materials using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Courteous, helpful attitude and works well with others
- Work successfully in a fast-paced environment
