Warehouse Manager Job at Marvin
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse, providing leadership, and giving direction to help ensure the company’s goals of continual improvement through profitable growth and increased customer values are met.
Highlights of your role
- Provides visible leadership in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Productivity by supporting and promoting manufacturing and materials initiatives. Highly visible to both Leadership and the plant floor.
- Supports new product offering launches and improves inventory space utilization and accuracy.
- Provides direction to ensure a quality product is warehoused and delivered in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Promotes Visual Factory Management.
- Balances capacity planning and daily schedule to ensure adequate resources are available to support plant operations in the most efficient manner.
- Manages & Leads immediate reports and promotes continuous improvement initiatives including projects & teams, and process/system improvements.
- Reviews current methods, procedures, and systems to monitor quality; and implements changes that reduce operational costs or improve operations.
- Develops and handles a budget which will contribute to profitable growth.
You're a good fit if you have
- Bachelor of Science in Management, Engineering or related fields, preferred
- 5+ years of management experience
- Strong Leadership Competencies, including building relationships & collaboration, creating alignment, developing others, including other leaders, critical thinking, and a drive for results.
- Certifications in Production & Inventory Control, Purchasing, Resource Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experience with budget development/management, as well as strategic planning
- Highly motivated self-starter with the desire for continuous improvement; Able to keep associates engaged in their work and improvement processes.
