Responsibilities and Duties

We are growing quickly and need help keeping the warehouse organized and improving efficiencies. More about the fun, quirky, and treat of a person that is you: You’re like Oprah, Ellen, & McGyver rolled into one cool giving package. Nothing excites you more than helping others grow, celebrating their successes, doing whatever it takes to get stuff done, brightening people’s days, and TREATING people with meaningful stuff.

Outside of that, we envision you doing everything possible to make and keep the warehouse running. This would include normal shipping/receiving responsibilities (forklift, receiving inventory, stocking shelves, prepping work stations, keeping the warehouse clean, breaking down boxes, taking out trash, etc.), assembly of new projects (building racks, assembling chairs, installing signs, etc.) and helping wherever help is needed. The things that drive you crazy: gossip, fault finding, “going through the motions”, not speaking up, sending out orders incorrectly, not finishing tasks, and exchanging your time for a paycheck. You want to be part of something meaningful and enjoyable. An average day will primarily consist of putting away inventory, pulling inventory for large workorders, creating large mixes of taffy to be used for workorders, to bagging hundreds of bags of taffy, to stocking shelves, to helping with inventory, scheduling the warehouse crew, ensure safety protocols, analyze and report inventory levels, etc..

Qualifications and Skills

Must Haves:

--Warehouse Experience such as receiving, inventory, pick/pack/ship, scheduling, organization, etc.

--Belief in the Taffy Shop Ideals

--Ability to wear multiple hats...but be happy/content taking care of the warehouse receiving and organization

--Be passionate about treating others

--Basic computer skills like email, chat, internet, etc.

--Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken forms

--Availability to work on-site (St George) during normal business hours.

**Note: The ideal warehouse hours will be 9:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri; however, our storefront is open until 8pm Mon-Sat and so we have some flexibility with the hours if needed.

Nice to Haves:

--LEAN experience. We need to become much more efficient to manage our growth and we need complete buy-in to daily improvements.

--Experience in helping others. Examples would be parenting, service assignments, coaching, teaching, volunteering, mentoring, etc..

--Handyman type skills, forklift experience, ability to "figure" things out, and ways we can do things better than the traditional norms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
