Warehouse Manager Job at Western Utility
The Warehouse Manager ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational needs. He/she performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to, purchasing, receiving, issuing, handling and tracking inventory stock company-wide.
Duties and responsibilities
- Procure materials based on inventory levels, upcoming projects
- Create, Issue, Maintain, and Organize Purchase Orders
- Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems
- Develops and implements control procedures
- Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts
- Identifies causes of issues and implements process improvements
- Maintains good working relationships with suppliers through effective communication
- Supervise yard labor employees
- Periodically Schedule deliveries of materials to client s jobsite
- Maintain Inventory on materials owned by clients
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor s degree
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, preferably in the construction industry
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices; working knowledge of tools, supplies and equipment used in the construction industry
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task
- Track record of developing strong business relations and working effectively across business lines and functional lines at all levels of the organization
- Must work successfully under general supervision and possess great time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
