Job Description
WAREHOUSE TECH II
This position is responsible for receiving, maintaining, and distributing parts, supplies and equipment from the DWR Central Warehouse to all divisions within Water Resources. The position must complete cycle counts, physical inventories, and operate all inventory related computer software, devices, and mechanical equipment.

WAREHOUSE TECH III
This position is responsible for issuing parts, routine shipping and receiving, tracking inventory, and housekeeping tasks for all DWR Warehouses. The selected candidate will maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variances. In addition, this individual will perform data entry and gather information for various tracking reports. The incumbent must be able to read material request and verify the material matches the request, restocking the material when returned. This position will require operating material handling equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts in order to safely and efficiently move equipment and supplies in the warehouse. This class is responsible for keeping the warehouse secure, safe, clean and orderly. This position is located at Water Reclamation Facility Crooked Creek, located in Norcross, GA.

Essential Duties
  • May serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction in the absence of the supervisor
  • Maintaining records of inventory ordered and received
  • Receiving shipments and verifying contents of shipment and distributes inventory to appropriate department
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and initiates purchase orders
  • Pulling inventory for various departmental requests
  • Labeling and/or scanning inventory for easy tracking and identification
  • Maintaining database for tracking inventory and purchase information
  • Performing other duties of a similar nature or level, including serving as lead worker in absence of supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
WAREHOUSE TECH II
  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Two years of automated warehouse or inventory control experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift certification (must be obtained within 6 mos.)
The grade for this position is A13(2). Salary is $33,991.00.

WAREHOUSE TECH III
  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Three years of automated warehouse or inventory control experience
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
The Grade for this position is B21(2). Salary is $36,991.00.
