Base Rate:


$19.00


Performance Pay:


Available annually


New hire experience:


1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum


New hire education:


1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

OVERVIEW

Storage, receiving, inventory and distribution of district materiels, supplies, furniture & equipment. And to maintain accurate records to ensure sufficient funds and adequate supplies. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have current, or ability to obtain, Arizona driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with district personnel and outside agencies
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with district employees and public
  • Ability to safely lift up to and including 75 -100 pounds
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles up to 26,000 GVW

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Follow district policies and procedures.

  • Load and unload delivery trucks with forklift, pallet jack or by hand.

  • Properly load items of various sizes, shape, and weight onto delivery trucks and to ensure equipment is evenly distributed and contained so as not to shift while being transported.

  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

  • Operate a 26’ box truck or ¾ ton van and follow safe driving practices.

  • Receive and process shipments, checking for accuracy and discrepancies.

  • Pull orders for processing and fulfilling, check for accuracy, identify, and address discrepancies.

  • Operate and care for school district equipment properly.

  • Accurately check all incoming freight against purchase orders for correct description and quantity.

  • Unload freight and check for shortages and damages.

  • Identify and receive incoming MDC stock; complete required forms; provide MDC office with information; put stock in storage locations.

  • Fill instruction and/or office supply orders, restock supplies, assist in maintaining perpetual inventory of warehouse items.

  • Sort mail for in-district and out of district distribution; process all classes of mail, including bulk mailings, and out-bound package returns, to ensure timely delivery.

  • Accurately complete required paperwork

  • Tactfully handle disputes and complaints; communicate with site and department staff
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
  • Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
  • Pick up and deliver used surplus equipment and furniture.
