Our Lakewood Ranch TPA office is posting a position for Workers' Compensation Presumption Claims Supervisor. This position involves ensuring appropriate handling of presumption claims, employee training and proper communication of claims/account issues with management.

REQUIRED JOB DUTIES/TASKS:

• Ensures appropriate handling of presumption claims through routine diary review and daily interaction with adjusting
• and medical management staff.
• Provides supervision of and instruction to Team Assistant(s), adjuster’s and nurse case managers.
• Responsible for keeping Claims Manager informed of personnel issues.
• Ensures adjusters vacations and extended absences are covered by other qualified team members.
• Handle employee complaints and grievances.
• Update client profiles as required
• Ensure proper communication of claims issues with clients through regular telephone contact
• and regular claims meetings.
• Complete contact logs for client contact on accounts supervised.
• Maintain contact with personal visit at least once annually and monthly phone contact.
• Responsible for additional training of adjusting staff via personal training or assignment of employee to mentor for training.
• Interview applicants for employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience
• Legal claims adjusting experience
• Excellent working knowledge of workers’ compensation law, rules, presumptions statutes and presumption case law, as well as liability principles, and medical terminology and procedures
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate analysis/judgment and sound decision making with focus on attention to details
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Great customer service skills
• Computer literacy, including MS Office, Word, Excel
