WEBSITE COORDINATOR - SENIOR Job at Surplus Sales of Nebraska
We are looking for a unique individual to help publish product offerings for our online sales in an exciting and always evolving position.
If you have an interest or curiosity in electronic components, mechanical gadgets, and the historical evolution of such things; you’ll never be bored learning the characteristics, attributes, and functionality of the parts you will be promoting.
Candidates who are well versed in computers, applications and software, as well as experience with HTML and photoshop will be given first priority. However, we will train the right motivated person who wishes to learn and advance.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Adobe Photoshop are essential to this position. Previoux experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Experience with Excel, spreadsheets and data entry.
- Professional photography skills are helpful but not required.
- Knowledge in databases and SQL is helpful but not required.
- Basic knowledge in SEO (search engine optimization).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- This position is evolving as you maintain some 7,000+ static web pages and 100,000+ products; working with existing staff as we automate the process, to focus on creating new and unique ways to promote and categorize our products to customers.
- Familiarity with template concepts and usage, daily writing and editing of content following established formatting guidelines.
- Producing, updating, and maintaining web content. (Adding new product to our website)
- Correct and update descriptions, photos and other information.
- Improve website content and aid search engine optimization. (SEO)
- Fixing any other errors in online content.
- Copying, editing and proofreading all website content prior to publishing.

WHAT WE OFFER:
- THIS POSITION IS MONDAY THORUGH FRIDAY WITH NO WEEKENDS. REGULAR HOURS ARE 8:00 A.M. - 5:00P.M. WITH NO SCHEDULED WEEKENDS.
- Competitive starting wage - Starting pay is based on prior experience.
- Paid holidays after 60 days
- IRA with 3% employer match
- Paid time off accrual that can be used after 90 days
