Pay Range: $18/hr - $25/hr
Shift: Mon - Friday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Summary: This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of weld department equipment to support production so that goals and quality standards can be met
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and plant equipment maintenance may be assigned.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on weld equipment and weld fixtures, includes:
- Install, replace, and repair pumps, valves, bearings, gauges, and other components on all equipment
- Inspect equipment, seal pumps, and replace filters on all equipment
- Check voltages and amps on electrical equipment
- Check and install electrical motors and change oil in gearboxes
Tinius Olsen – force test machine (push-out)
Assist with Water-Tower maintenance, and other misc. equipment maintenance throughout the facility
Perform unscheduled maintenance on weld equipment & fixtures, including supporting production by responding to calls and performing quickly executed troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, robotic, and welding problems to minimize machine downtime
Coordinate maintenance activities with the production teams to minimize machine downtime and interruption to production schedules.
Ensure an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment in weld department for all perishable and spare part components (electrodes, connections, shunts, fixture bases, seal kits, etc)
Conduct experiments and tests and evaluates data to assist welding engineering personnel in development and application of new or improved welding equipment; welding techniques, procedures, and practices; and specifications for material heat treating: Assists engineering personnel in testing and evaluating welding equipment, metals, and alloys.
Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures, or practices
Ensure compliance with the quality system and applicable policy, procedure, and practice
Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and material within the facility
Specify plant weld equipment and fixture needs. Quote and present information to management for review
Requirements:Education and/or Experience:
Technical degree a plus· Knowledge of low and high-pressure hydraulics· Knowledge and understanding of pneumaticsElectrical and mechanical troubleshootingAC motors and variable frequency drivesKnowledge of electrical testing equipmentControls knowledge (PLC’s, robotics, switches, proxes, lasers, cameras, and other sensors) Allen-Bradley programmable controllers and operator interfaces such as HMI’s and Panel ViewsGas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) (MIG) process and maintenance on welding equipment.ABB and Fanuc robotics.· Use of HMI’s or Panel ViewsKnowledge of LOTO and Arc FlashAbility to work flexible hours
