Job Title: Separator Operator
Reports To: Production Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Separator operator helps with putting product on the cooling belt, tape, and line boxes, fill boxes to the appropriate weight, place correct labels on each case, and run through tapper and metal detector.- Fill out paperwork correctly for each batch.
- Do all necessary cleanups at end of shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily: Separator
- Ensure Correct Screen configuration / change if needed.
- Ensure correct labels / Change if needed.
- Conduct scale checks.
- Line boxes, fill to appropriate weigh and correctly label them.
- Close boxes and run through tapper and metal detector.
- Correctly fill out paperwork for each batch
- End of shift cleaning
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:
Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.- Follow all common employee safety practices.
- Forklift safety and checklist
- No blocking of emergency exits, fire doors or eye wash stations.
- Slip resistant shoes mandatory.
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:
Follow all Food Safety regulations and GMPs.- Check metal detector and scale every Four hours and sign off on them.
- Take samples from every batch.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
