What You Will Do
Responsible to the TA55 PMDS Planner Lead for coordinating, scheduling, and attending scope of work assessments/walkdowns of various maintenance requests while working together with requesting customers, external support and work authorizing organizations. Developing and/or reviewing work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written detailed step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures and may include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q(Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

What You Need

- In-depth knowledge of and experience with work control, materials management, and/or mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to fully understand work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures.
- Ability to fully understand and interpret various mechanical and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking work planning activities.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting work control and planning.
- Skill to conceptualize and communicate major elements of work control and planning to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of the Laboratory's work control and facility policies, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently under minimal direction.
