Job Summary:

Kauai Island Utility Cooperative is seeking a dedicated individual to work with and supervise a crew who perform mechanical, structural, electronic, electrical installation, maintenance and testing work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safety and training of all personnel under his/her direction.
  • Works from troubleshooting results, electrical and mechanical tests, visual inspections, instruction books, blue prints, sketches, oral or written instructions.
  • Makes reports and maintains records on all power plant equipment maintenance performed; prepares material lists, requisitions and other job reports; updates and maintains files and drawings.
  • Makes reports and maintains records on all power plant equipment maintenance performed.
  • Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of all plant instruments, meters, tools, etc.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years working experience in Power Plant maintenance of steam, diesel and gas turbine power generating equipment.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to complete and maintain all necessary records and files for equipment, repairs, overhauls, etc.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability and the capability of accepting working instructions to direct assigned personnel.
  • Must have a valid State of Hawaii driver's license.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 70 pounds.
