As an Account Manager II, you will lead some of Generac's most important Regional and National Professional Distributors. You will act as the primary corporate contact to manage relationships, execute new growth strategies, integrate field efforts, and uphold margins with key accounts You will develop plans designed to achieve short and long-range goals for your assigned territory. You will work cross-functionally with other sales channels within Generac to help drive corporate initiatives. You will be responsible for taking a pro-active sales approach with your customers to ensure their needs are met.
Essential Duties:
Develop and lead an aggressive and comprehensive sales strategy to support the company’s objectives and business plans, including consistent growth and profitability through new product introduction and brand recognition.
Establish goals, measure results, evaluate resources and put development plans in place as needed.
Drive regional programs to optimum performance through the creation of business plans that can be executed to provide high customer value.
Develops sales plan with short- and long-range objectives for assigned accounts.
Works with Marketing to introduce new products and programs to increase market share and brand awareness
Acts as primary resource for customer contacts and expedites identified issues.
Work with clients to develop sales and promotional opportunities to generate revenue.
Grow sales of existing and new products by strengthening account relationships.
Effectively grow and manage end-user pipeline within key markets
Manage high profile bids with major government and business organizations
Minimal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3-4 years account experience in sales or marketing
Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in the relevant assigned channel or customer area (for example: Industrial, MRO, and Government Retailers.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple audiences including top management
Effective presentation skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel estimated at 10-20% depending on project timing.
