We are currently seeking an AP/AR specialist for a manufacturing plant in the Arden, NC area! Must have past experience for consideration!

The Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients and monitor the outflow of capital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested
• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies and preparing remittance advices to vendors.
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed
• Reconciles accounts receivable and accounts payable on a periodic basis
• Calculates and reports sales tax based on invoices
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
• Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling various accounts each month
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed
• Performs other related accounting duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Two-Year Associates Degree and minimum 1 year on the job experience
• Proficient knowledge of SAP
• Advanced Excel experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in AP/AR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
