Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's best private schools, where qualifying students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade live on campus and receive an exceptional educational experience—with all costs covered. We are seeking an Admissions Marketing and Recruiting Manager for our high-volume Enrollment Management department which receives over 4,000 applications, annually. The Enrollment Management Team enrolls children who have potential to benefit from the program offered in accordance to the Deed of Trust. It is the Admissions Marketing and Recruiting Manager’s responsibility to plan, manage and execute MHS’s comprehensive Admissions Outreach Plan. Additionally, this position will lead and supervise the regional recruiters and marketing & events specialists to support enrollment priorities and develop effective strategies to maintain a diversified student body. This position requires continuous improvement in procedures and strategies to address challenges and anticipate and react to changing goals and needs of the School. This position is an in-office role and entails some evenings and weekends to support the operational needs of the school. This position is located in Hershey, Pa and is not eligible for remote work. Starting pay is in the range of $81,855-$109,277; pay is determined based on experience.


Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of the Admissions Team, comprised of 13 full time Admissions Recruiters and two Marketing and Events Specialists.
  • Design and manage a comprehensive Outreach Plan while collaborating with the Director/Senior Director of Enrollment Management as well as the Communications Department.
  • Plan and coordinate marketing strategies, events and materials and evaluate the efficacy of them.
  • Evaluate demographic and statistical information to maintain a diverse student body.
  • Facilitate new and ongoing relationships with professional referral sources and professional partner organizations.
  • Develop marketing and branding key messages for recruitment to develop new approaches to communicate with professionals and families.
  • Assist with applicant review and advocacy.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Counseling, Education, Communications, Marketing, Social Work or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience of management experience in education, business management, or a child welfare setting.
  • Marketing and branding expertise required with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and manage a budget.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications, internet and social media.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations with sensitivity.
  • Experience working with students and families from lower-income or under-served populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated success multi-tasking in a high volume and dynamic work environment.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, commitment, respect, and positivity, as all MHS staff are considered role models for MHS students.
  • Candidates should be willing to actively engage with MHS students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
