Outreach is seeking an experienced and extremely motivated Adolescent Program Coordinator to work in our Outpatient Program located in Bellport, NY. The Program Coordinator is responsible for directly supporting the Assistant Director and/or the Program Director in the overall operation and administration of the site and the programs they oversee in accordance with all OASAS 822, Medicaid and State/County regulations for outpatient substance use disorder treatment. The schedule can alternate 11am to 7pm; 12 noon to 8pm; and 9am to 5pm.
The program coordinator works with the unit’s management team to monitor and implement policies and procedures that encourage effective therapeutic intervention. Ensures oversight and provides leadership in the absence of the Assistant Direct and/or Program Director. The Program Coordinator serves as a member of the unit management team. They manage a caseload and ensure appropriate levels of care and appropriate clinical interventions. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 3 days and 2 evenings.
- Responsible for the management of the assigned treatment program.
- Support and participate in program development and program planning.
- Address program issues with the Assistant Direct and/or Program Director, including but not limited to unit objectives, annual goals, and the overall delivery of services.
- Actively participates in all meetings (i.e., staff meetings, case conference, team meetings and individual supervision) by being prepared, utilizing problem-solving skills and providing appropriate feedback to team members.
- Support and maintain communication and teamwork with referents and other collateral agencies (i.e., Probation, Parole, CPS, Drug Court, Family Court) to integrate and enhance clinical services.
- Identify, plan and implement appropriate activities under the direction of the Program Director in order to improve program performance and ensure and maintain a census at the appropriate program level.
- Complete and manage all documentation including monthly reporting requirements in compliance with company policy, standards, and funding sources in a timely manner.
- Review charts for all program clients to monitor compliance and timely documentation.
- Exercise due diligence in the delivery of quality care in line with company Medicaid Compliance Plan and systems of accountability.
- Monitor program performance and outcomes.
- Ensure communication through the compliance officer and/or the supervisory structure of any violation of non-compliance with the company’s Medicaid compliance plan and personnel policy and procedure.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitates all administrative and clinical meetings; including group supervision where appropriate. Adheres to supervision quality standards; provide/ensure consistent supervision as assigned.
- Directly observe clinical practice of supervisees, document supervisory sessions; engage employees in review and design of performance review and development plan.
- Develop skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely responses and reporting of program data and staff activity. Review and submit schedules to ensure effective utilization of time and reports.
Who You Are:
- Advanced degree required; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or higher preferred
- 2-3 years of strong program management
- 1-2 years clinical supervisory experience in an OASAS funded facility
- Commitment to quality programs and outcome driven program evaluation
- Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve program objectives, and manage a budget
- Strong networking and public relations skill with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
