Inside the Role
As the Business Development Lead, you will help in the development of Data Science Use Cases through creation of business presentations, planning & coordination, and participating in various discussions and meetings with various business and IT SMEs. You will also be responsible for giving presentations to various business stakeholders in close coordination with other team members. Additionally, you will also be responsible for creation of business presentations on key strategic topics for the broader data analytics team. Additionally, you will be operating as our lead SME regarding Master Data Management and data stewardship, industry trends in data governance, and data security; as such, you will be responsible for translating data governance best practices into guidance, communication, and training across the organization. You will manage our data environments as the lead data steward and process owner for environment change/access. You will be responsible for managing the regional implementation of the data management portion of the A22 policy and have the oversight of our data management goals, standards, practices, processes, and technologies for the BI and data management domain. You will also develops strategic initiatives to organize and streamline the processes with which data is collected, shared, utilized, protected, cleaned, and stored across the organization.

This is a DTFS band 92 position.

What You Drive at DTFS:
  • Creation and enhancements of business presentations for Data Science Use Cases. Delivering presentations to business stakeholders
  • Managing day to day coordination activities, participating in meetings and discussions with various business and IT SMEs for Data Science Use Cases
  • Manage Data Governance policy implementation for the data domain; guide activities utilized for metric alignment, data management and data analytics
  • Oversee the control process for access and changes to the enterprise data structures, as well as the reporting and analytic environments
  • Ensure data access, data sharing, and data development processes operate in compliance with SOX, RISC, and NPPI data security policies and procedures
  • Leveraging industry expertise, develop organizational strategies to improve data integrity, enhance data security, and optimize organizational processes. Develop and implement strategy to grow the Data Governance team for the BI and data domain
  • Coordinating Data Governance related activities with HQ and regional teams
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on one or more of the following areas - Business Administration; Computer/Information Science; Finance; Information Technology; Mathematics; Statistics
  • 5 + years of related experience
  • Strong background in data analytics & reporting, risk analytics, business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science, data warehouse, data governance, data management or related fields
  • Good hands-on experience in developing creative presentations
  • Prior background in project management, planning and coordination
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Masters’ degree with focus on one or more of the following areas - Business Administration; Computer/Information Science; Finance; Information Technology; Mathematics; Statistics
  • Previous experience in automotive, auto finance industry
  • Experience in captive finance or banking industry
  • Experience in leading, managing and implementing data governance strategy
  • Experience in managing cross functional projects
