AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT III Fuel Systems for Fixed Wing Aircraft; Fuels Team Lead
Key Role: Provide hands-on A/C mechanic expertise and leadership for A/C maintenance, specifically in-depth knowledge and experience with fuels systems and fuel cells (R&R) for F/A-18 Legacy Hornet and F/A-18 Super Hornet. Additionally provide operations and maintenance integration planning, training, and mentoring to aircraft maintenance personnel on a regular and recurring basis that includes:
- A/C Maintenance team lead for complete subject T/M/S aircraft fuel systems
- Accomplish Organizational (“O”) level through depot-level expertise and skills in all aspects of A/C maintenance for troubleshooting, removal and replacement, and complete repair of subject fuel systems.
- Provides short & long-term maintenance planning.
- Enables the development of higher-level maintenance management skills and understanding.
- Provides continuous assessment, feedback, and one-on-one training as well as group mentorship; ensures maintenance personnel obtain adaptable, sustainable skills and maintenance acumen.
- Establishes a healthy and effective maintenance base.
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years’ experience; bachelor’s degree in aviation operations or related field desired, Quality Assurance (QA) qualification, and/or FFA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant Certificate) certification or equivalent level of experience in aircraft maintenance
- In-depth experience and detailed knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Procedures (NAMP) 4790, especially focusing on organizational and intermediate level processes that achieve TMS readiness goals.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes, and the effects maintenance practices have on aircraft readiness.
- Effective interpersonal skills; ability to interact with clients dynamically.
- Responsible for the development of formal reports, and briefing documents.
- Secret Clearance required.
- US Passport Required
Additional Qualifications:
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, motivate, and supervise senior and junior level service members.
- Basic organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance knowledge and experience a plus.
- May act as the on-site team lead – facilitate interaction between on-site team and senior & mid-level squadron leaders. Will also serve as interface to off-site PM and other company leadership.
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Location & Travel: Some travel required. Various locations dependent upon contract: MCAS Beaufort, SC, NAS LeMoore CA, NAS Oceana VA, and occasional/limited travel to other locations, potentially OCONUS - various MCAS and/or NAS (as required).
Compensation: Competitive compensation package offered to include base annual salary, paid vacation, and 401K match plan – furnished upon submission of resume.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
