MEH is enthusiastically hiring a driven, innovative Architect to streamline the process of making our client’s dreams a reality. The role of the Architect is essential to the success of both the preconstruction and production teams, providing efficiency and cohesion by creating designs and drafting plans for custom homes and light commercial developments according to client specifications. The right candidate will display precision and passion, be adaptive and team-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the preconstruction team to identify client’s requirements, budget, and approximate timeline
• Provides preliminary rendering options to ascertain client’s priorities and vision
• Utilizes the Interior Designer regarding material, style, or color preferences, as needed
• Creates detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations for review and approval
• Modifies new or existing plans, as needed
• Prepares scale renderings according to contract requirements
• Reviews finalized plans with the assigned Project Manager to assure a smooth transition into the building process
• Assists the production team with guidance or revision, if needed, during the building process
• Performs other related duties, as assigned

Required skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extremely proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Adept in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work on simultaneous projects during various stages
• Exceptional organization, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, required
• Prior experience drafting home plans, required
• Three years of relevant experience, preferred
