Flint Hills Resources is now hiring an Area Inspector to join the Pine Bend refinery in Rosemount, MN. Performing the role of Area Inspector, you will be responsible to ensure mechanical integrity and maximize the reliability life cycle value of fixed assets with high regard for safety and the environment. Acting on behalf of Flint Hills Resources and the Fixed Reliability Technical Group, you will be gathering and analyzing data, making recommendations, communicating, and mitigating risks and ensuring quality repairs are completed.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Daily activities may include:

• Completing field inspections
• Analysis of various types of field data
• Development of formal recommendations
• Communication of results and recommendations with other teams
• Development of inspection plans
• Management of inspection activities and work execution plans during maintenance outages
• Maintaining fixed asset records
• Managing fixed asset inspection methods/strategies
• Lead and assist in the root cause failure analysis (RCFA) process
• Ensuring code and regulatory compliance in your area of responsibility

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders, platforms and pipe racks
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends and nights during planned projects

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Five (5) years or more of inspection experience in a refinery or chemical facility
• API 510 and API 570 certification

What Will Put You Ahead

• Five (5) years or more of Owner-User Inspection experience in a refinery or chemical facility
• Multiple API Certifications
• AWS Certifications
• NACE Certifications
• Experience with industry standards and recommended practices (API, ASME, AWS, NBIC)
• APM experience
• Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Software experience
