We are seeking an Assembly Supervisor to manage the assembly of new models and the development of new associates. The Assembly Supervisor must be able and available to travel to Japan for training as new models are introduced.
The Assembly Supervisor directly supervises, coordinates, and records the activities of the assembly process including assembly workers and team leaders on a one-shift (Mon-Thur, 6am-4:30 pm) schedule with extended schedules as necessary to meet daily and weekly goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and onboards production staff; provides appropriate new hire training.
- Provides additional safety and production training, as needed.
- Organizes and oversees the work schedules.
- Provides timely and constructive performance feedback
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety and housekeeping standards
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators.
- Conduct employee training in assembly operations and safety procedures.
- Evaluate employee performance.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
- Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
- Recommend or implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, or promotions.
- Ability to create job Work Instructions (W.I) and or Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
- Focus on Continuous Improvement
