Position Summary:
Responsible for assembly production of products. Ensures that assembly functions are completed in accordance with established quality and production standards. Prepares related documentation, including test procedures, reports and assembly history records. Builds acceptance test stands and maintains test equipment.
How You Will Do It
- Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts, using hand tools, power tools and fixtures.
- Installs electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housing or assembly, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Tests performance of assemblies, using test stands and equipment.
- Repairs and reworks assemblies to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Analyzes and records test results and prepares documentation.
- Reads drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine method and sequence of assembly.
- Prepares and maintains test procedures and assembly history records.
- Coordinates and recommends procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification.
- Determines data required and sets up required data acquisition, test and measurement equipment.
- Inspects, diagnoses, maintains, and operates test setup and equipment.
- Discusses test data requirements and results with other personnel, determines data required, and calculates and modifies test parameters and equipment.
- Records and interprets test data on parts and assemblies and confers with engineering personnel regarding test procedures and results.
- Fabricates and installs parts and systems to be tested in test equipment using test instruments.
What We Look For
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires knowledge of hydraulics.
- Requires knowledge of gear pumps and gerotor pumps.
- Requires knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Requires knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Requires knowledge of soldering standards.
- Requires knowledge of the uses of measuring equipment.
- Requires knowledge of electro-mechanical test and assembly procedures and techniques.
- Requires ability to read blueprints.
- Solder certification preferred
