PDQ Skilled Trades is looking to hire an Assistant Production Manager to become part of a manufacturer supplying fresh, high-quality, delicatessen food products to 7-Eleven stores in northern Texas on a daily basis. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!

• Salary: $50-$60K depending on experience
• Shift: Monday thru Friday –(Weekend availability is a must)
• Work environment: Cold - 38-45 degrees Fahrenheit

Job Overview: Prepare and implement production timelines and goals coordinating daily activities with the Production Manager. Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner. Ensure that the production timelines are met, and safety procedures are being followed.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and planning production priorities, workflow, and schedule
• Coordinating and reporting day-to-day activities with the Production Manager
• Identifying and reporting operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays
• Scheduling routine inspection and maintenance of production equipment to prevent equipment break-downs and malfunction with the Maintenance and the Production Managers.
• Developing or updating standard operating procedures and best practices for production operations.
• Addressing employee concerns and complains in professional manner
• Managing performance review, appraisals, and promotions for employees
• Preparing production schedule and timelines
• Ensuring that the quality and company standards are met
• Coordinating with the team members to ensure the production process is completed on time
• Addressing any production disputes and diverting the urgent ones to the Production Manager
• Creating and maintaining a report of the production status
• Assisting in hiring and training new team members
• Ensuring that all safety measures are procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards
• Reviewing the production budget
• Reviewing the existing production process and suggesting improvement measures

Requirement/Qualification:

• Prefer to have Associate in Arts (AA) degree or equivalent to 5 years working experience
• 3-5 years’ work experience in the Production
• Complete knowledge of the production process, such as HACCP and SQF, safety, and health protocols
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Good communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to crate and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment
• Have excellent analytical skills and the ability to
• Possess complete knowledge of the production processes and familiarity with the latest food safety regulations.
• Display strong leadership skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Bilingual - English and Spanish is preferred
