- The successful candidate will be responsible for multi-media environmental compliance including air, chemical, oil, water, and waste programs which relate to company compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations at Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage (EGTS) facilities and construction projects.
- Write and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
- Conduct frequent walkdowns of assigned facilities and conduct environmental self-assessments to help ensure compliance.
- Provide recommendations to operations and engineering to help resolve any potential compliance issue.
- Conduct the sampling and characterization of waste streams generated and coordinate the disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste for assigned facilities. Represent company before regulatory agencies on environmental issues and during in-field inspections.
- Be able to develop and conduct environmental training that is given to site personnel to ensure understanding and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Be available (within 2 hours of assigned work area) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency response to address spills and releases at assigned EGTS facilities (outside of approved time off and/or area coverage coordination).
- Use electronic databases to input, analyze, and monitor company compliance with regulatory requirements.

Associate Environmental Specialist
- Basic, working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations specific to the work location.
- Basic, working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets.
