Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Director of Nursing, the assistant manager is responsible for providing leadership and for managing the human, material and financial resources of the Behavioral Health department. The Assistant Manager also helps to ensure that the department operations are in alignment with the goals and objectives of Lakeland Regional Health (LRH). This position provides leadership for multiple units within the Behavioral Health department to evaluate and continuously improve patient care and protect patient rights while creating a satisfactory and enriching work environment. The Assistant Manager works with the BH Nursing Director to provide operational and capital budgeting. Manage and supervise functions of assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis; ensure effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. They will serve as throughput coordinator for the Center for Behavioral Health and Wellness with the goal to insure this process runs smoothly at all times.

Other information:
Experience Essential:
- Two to five years of formal leadership experience, preferably within behavior health.
- At least two years of experience working in an inpatient Behavioral Health setting.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience with formal de-escalation education (TEAM, CPI, NAPPI, etc…)
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care

Certifications Essential:
- BLS

Certifications Preferred:
- National Certification in Psychiatric Nursing

Licenses Essential:
- Registered Nurse
