Job Brief:

The purpose of this position is to develop data and analytics reports & dashboards to support the organization in making data-driven decisions. This involves working with BI staff and other departments to develop, implement, support and maintain system reports and analysis tools. This position will exemplify the customer service goals of the HealthPoint philosophy, the goals of Optimized Comprehensive Clinical Care (OC3), and the standards of Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH).

The purpose of this position is to develop data and analytics reports & dashboards to support the organization in making data-driven decisions. This involves working with BI staff and other departments to develop, implement, support and maintain system reports and analysis tools. This position will exemplify the customer service goals of the HealthPoint philosophy, the goals of Optimized Comprehensive Clinical Care (OC3), and the standards of Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH).

Essential Functions:

1. Utilize available tools such as eCW, BridgeIT, EBO, SQL, Power BI, & Excel to fulfill & develop reports & dashboards in response to internal requests.

2. Maintain, improve and support the existing reporting infrastructure.

3. Maintain, improve and support existing reporting database(s) in compliance with Federal and State initiatives and health care delivery models followed by the Agency.

4. Create meaningful, creative dashboards & reporting solutions and be able clearly articulate complex ideas to non-technical users.

5. Write and maintain system documentation.

6. Work with the Data Reporting Specialist and CIO in project development, responding to requests for data by determining users’ needs, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, and providing accurate and complete reports.

7. Coordinate the functions of the Bi department staff. Work with the CIO to ensure that the department is meeting its objectives.

8. Maintain a schedule and system for ensuring that required reports are generated, maintained and submitted in a timely manner.

9. Perform data validation checks and audits of various data sources to ensure data is accurate and complete.

10. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others that encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

11. Provide end-user training and collaborate with the Training department in the development of training curriculum and material.

12. Participate in committees and other team efforts to advance Agency goals.

13. Perform other duties as assigned

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree or four years of equivalent work experience.

Required Experience:

1. At least two years of experience creating reports using Excel.

2. Familiar with RDBMS concepts and at least one year of experience writing complex SQL queries.

Preferred Experience:

1. At least one year of experience developing self-service models, dashboards and reports using Power BI or an equivalent BI presentation tool.

2. Experience with healthcare reporting including UDS, HEDIS and PCMH.

3. Familiarity with healthcare coding and terminology.

4. Hands on experience with eCW and/or BridgeIT.

Preferred Certifications:

MCSA – BI Reporting

Language Development - must be at a level that would normally apply to a person capable of reading with understanding novels, tech journals, and blueprints and write business letters, expositions, summaries and reports with proper format.

Math Development - must be able to solve mathematical problems using techniques such as algebra, calculus and statistics.
