Pay Rate: $31.75 per hour.

• Ensures that all equipment including facility interior, exterior and tools are maintained to achieve maximum operating efficiency.
• Performs plant maintenance, construction, installation of new equipment, adjustments and repair of equipment as needed.
• To lay out and plan projects as directed by supervision and insure all carts, tools and support equipment are made available for the successful completion of such projects.
• To maintain an available supply of parts, rebuilt gearboxes and other equipment to help minimize down time.
• To aid and support other mechanics including outside contractors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and make “on the spot” correction.
• Must be competent in welding (arc and heli arc) using a cutting torch and fabrication.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be self motivated, a self starter and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Must be able to work from a ladder and lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a maintenance proficiency test.
• Must have a current forklift license.
• Must be able and willing to work in confined spaces (Rendering plant cookers etc.).
• Must be able to submit and pass criminal background check.
