The role …

The Designer is responsible for generating project designs and detailed drawings utilizing CAD software.

If you would like to make a real difference as a part of a winning Engineering team then we want to hear from you! This is an on-site position located at our Ellis & Watts manufacturing facility located in Batavia, Ohio.

You will…

• Create drawings and models in sufficient detail to facilitate manufacturing of units, based on input from Engineers
• Develop custom designs HVAC, military, and power plant projects
• Troubleshoot design issues with manufacturing and understand internal shop capabilities
• Generate revisions/change notices
• Thoroughly implement redlines from Engineers
• Examine customer specifications and drawings for design compliance
• Work to stay on track with budgeted hours
• Follow standard practices and file management for CAD software
• Utilize CAD software integration with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

We’re looking for …

• An Associate’s Degree in a CAD Design/Engineering field and 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment; or
• 5 years in a CAD Design/Engineering role in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Web Applications
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings with an understanding of dimensioning and tolerance

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-through skills
