Certified Medical Assistant Job at Heart to Herat Cardiology and Vascular
The team at the Heart Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with experience in cardiology to join our growing and energetic team. The certified medical assistant will be responsible for performing specific clerical duties within the department, demonstrating an understanding of liability issues, and assisting doctors and nurses during procedures. We're seeking a professional who has a friendly, positive demeanor and can maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Keep medical records organized and up-to-date. Verify eligibility. Through portals EMR phone etc..
- Working with incoming outgoing Referrals Urgency, ER Referrals must have knowledge of scheduling procedures for hospital.
- Safely operate office equipment, including computers and medical equipment. Must have knowledge of EKG stress, test, vascular echo nuclear nuclear procedures etc.
- Perform clerical duties such as making and confirming appointments, organizing records, billing patients, filing and faxing documents.
- Answer questions from patients., develop and implement treatment plans and rehabilitation regimens.
- Prepare patients for examination or surgery, administer tests and treatments as ordered by physician.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with infection control procedures.
- Bilingual English, Spanish ,Arabic.
- All candidates will require one day 1/2 day of shadowing .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
